Donna has been growing so quickly. She was so sick when she first came into our home, but she is doing much better, praise be to God! She was so sick and weak three weeks ago that she could not cry, move, or do much of anything. She has been plagued with malaria since she arrived, but has gotten much treatment and seems to be much healthier now. This four month old darling has quickly captured my heart...and the hearts of everyone in my home.

Donna over the past few weeks:

Donna is now smiling!

praise, praise and more praise to Jesus for His abundant grace and mercy upon our lives! He has so graciously entered into our home and Donna's life and had such mercy upon her...and mercy upon
As I sat staring into Donna's smiling face and now alive eyes, I was reminded of a quote a dear friend of mine says, "God takes care of the babies and the fools". God has certainly taken care of this precious baby, and this crazy "fool". I oftentimes get asked, "Do you know what you're doing?" and I reply, "No, I don't know what I am doing...but God knows exactly what He is doing...and that is all that matters to me."
I am just His humble servant...His vessel...willing to be used, submitting to His will, not mine. As long as I am following Him...doing His work, not mine, I know that I am going to be just fine.
No, I don't know what I am doing...and I really don't want to. I don't want to be doing anything that He is not doing through me. and so, I trust. and do what He reveals to me little by little. Right now, He has commanded me to take care of His little ones. And so, I pour my heart and soul into it one day at a time.
